Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to information when you use the TakeHome Paycheck Calculator ("TakeHome") inside ChatGPT or on this website. TakeHome is operated by Arian Abri, Breisgauer Straße 41, 14129 Berlin, Germany (info@genz4gtm.com), who is the controller under the GDPR.
What TakeHome receives
When ChatGPT calls TakeHome, it sends only the inputs needed for the calculation: pay amount or hourly rate and hours, US state, optional city or Maryland county, filing status, number of dependents, pay frequency, and optional bonus, tips, overtime, 401(k), pre-tax benefit and spouse income amounts. TakeHome does not ask for or receive your name, email address, employer, precise location, account credentials, or your chat history.
How it is used
Inputs are used only to calculate and return your take-home pay estimate in the same request. TakeHome has no user accounts and no database. It does not store, sell, share or use your inputs for advertising, profiling or model training, and it does not use cookies or analytics.
What TakeHome returns
Responses contain only the calculated figures (gross pay, taxes, deductions, take-home pay and rates), short explanatory notes, and the inputs you supplied so the interactive view can recalculate when you change a setting.
Hosting and logs
TakeHome runs on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes technical request data such as IP address, time and request path to deliver and secure the service, and keeps short-lived operational logs under its own privacy policy. TakeHome does not log request contents. Use of ChatGPT itself is governed by OpenAI's privacy policy.
Legal basis and your rights
Processing is necessary to provide the calculation you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for hosting logs, legitimate interests in operating a secure service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Because TakeHome keeps no personal data after responding, there is normally nothing to access or delete, but you may contact us with any request and you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Children
TakeHome is a general-audience tool and does not knowingly collect information from children.
